Local Planning - Mattishall

15th January 2018

It is essential that new development is sustainable and has the adequate long term infrastructure required to support it.

That's why I have been continuing to support councillors and residents in Mattishall to oppose Gladman Development’s application for up to 50 homes on land off Dereham Road. Back in July, I attended Breckland’s Planning Committee hearing to speak in support of the behalf of the local community, and I was pleased that Councillors unanimously rejected the application.

Upon hearing that the application would now be going to appeal, I also made a submission to the Planning Inspectorate (full text below), and I am pleased that local councillors and residents had the opportunity to speak at the Inspector’s hearing.

Rest assured I shall continue to follow developments with this case in the weeks going forward.
