Wymondham Friday Market

13th December 2017

The Friday Market is a major part of the historical and cultural identity of Wymondham, and one very much valued by residents in and around the town.

That’s why I invited the Town Mayor, Cllr Robert Savage, to join me last week as I took the time to meet with stallholders and hear first-hand their concerns about the future of the Friday Market – most notably in relation to its lack of promotion and stall rents.

I shall be following up with the Town Council in the weeks and months ahead, and I very much hope to be able to work with them to help support the stallholders, and breathe some more life back into this vital Wymondham institution.
