When times are hard the people of Mid Norfolk pull together. From taking refugees into their homes or driving aid over to war torn regions of the Ukraine, the support is always there.

I was delighted to drop into the Grassroots Football Drop-in Session held in Westminster earlier this week.

As part of my ongoing support of Watton Hockey Club as they seek to raise the funds required to replace their rapidly deteriorating astropitch, I am delighted to promote their upcoming Craft Fayre on Sunday 5th June from 9am.

As I continue to follow the tremendous acts of generosity coming from Mid Norfolk as local people and businesses show their support for Ukraine, I am happy to hear that, after numerous obstacles, the two truck drivers that left Dereham last week on their journey to Moldova, which borders Ukraine to the south-east, have now completed their journey and delivered two lorries worth of essential supplies for those fleeing the Russian invasion.

It has been great to see so many members of the Mid Norfolk community, particularly in Dereham, rally round in their droves to collect supplies and send support for those caught up in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Dereham Windmill is one of the great jewels in the heart of Mid Norfolk, a major local tourist asset that so many people have visited and enjoyed over the years.

One of my central missions since becoming an MP has been to help our councils, community groups  and local charities and organisations boost the ‘offer’ that they all provide the communities they serve.

I was delighted to see and hear the constituents of Mid Norfolk have rallied round to support the people of Ukraine with their donations.
