Dereham Heritage Trust – Bishop Bonner’s Cottage Museum Opening

Our Mid Norfolk Market Towns are vital hubs of community spirit and services – offering so much to those that live, visit and grow businesses in them – as well as those living in the communities that surround them.

That’s why it was such a pleasure to join the opening of the Dereham Museum at Bishop Bonner’s Cottage on Church Street this past Friday – a wonderful local community asset telling the story of over 150 years of Dereham history.

See my short video above.

Open on Fridays (10am-1pm) and Saturdays (10am-4pm) throughout the summer season, a brilliant team of local, trained volunteers are on hand to share stories and facts about Dereham and the surrounding area.

Amongst the attractions are fantastic new displays celebrating Victorian life in the town, as well as a new community wellbeing art exhibition (organised by local volunteer Katie Goodman).
