On 23rd June we face one of the biggest decisions in recent memory: whether or not we should remain part of a reformed EU.
That’s why I was delighted that Anglia Farmers hosted the most recent debate in my EU: In or Out? series, making sure everyone in our area has the chance to make sure their voice is heard.
We had a very lively debate, where I was joined by Vicky Ford and by Stuart Agnew, both MEPs for the Eastern Region. In an informal poll after the event, those supporting Remain had moved from 44% to 59%. With our world-leading bio-medical and agri-tech research in the Eastern region, I believe we will be better off in a reformed EU, making sure our entrepreneurs have access to the single market to export their products and continue to create jobs in our towns and villages.
